The Pastor's Wife: Her Battles!

Please Pray for her to be comforted in Word:

Psalm 119:28,52
My soul melteth for heaviness:strengthen thou me according unto thy Word" (v28)

"When I think of your rules from of old, I take comfort, O Lord." (v52)

The Pastor's Wife would very often hesitate to do the things that she is called by God to do. She has an inward battle that she fights everyday. She is human after all.

Its not easy for her to find someone to talk to. She does not share all of who she is as a person. She does not share all of her dreams. She takes care with whom she shares her funny, happy, sad and profound moments. She shares only her deepest moments with one person she trusts. She faces many challenges in her marriage, with her children and in her ministry and/or secular work.

Yet, she freely gives of her time, gifts, talent and skills to those whom she loves and knows.  She yearns to see others succeed. She is there when others fail and she encourages and lifts their spirit forward.

The Pastor's Wife: Regrets

Regrets will always take you back to the past.

If you forget, then your circumstances, people, family and friends will subtly remind you.

Its sad to think, there will always be more people criticising you than encouraging you!

Don't sit on your pain of regrets.

Don't nurture it. Don't love it!

Don't depend on it to make you feel alive.

Don't give it more attention than your future.

Its up to you what you learn from your regrets going forward.

The Pastor's Wife: She is a gift
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14

She was created...

Fearfully meaning: exceptionally, extremely, exceedingly, remarkably, uncommonly, extraordinarily, incredibly, most, very, really, immensely, thoroughly, positively, decidedly...

Wonderfully meaning:  a miracle, a marvel, excites or calls forth wonder...

She already comes prepared with amazing abilities and gifts. Her gifts are meant to be of service to God's people, and yet some of the people choose not to receive and appreciate her.

God, Jehovah Jireh, the Giver of the Gift did not forget as to why He sent the Pastor's Wife to serve His people.

The Pastor's Wife: Why I left...

The expectation of the Pastor's wife being involved with everything in the Church still happens today, irrespective of   whether she enjoys what she is called to do or not.

The reality of the Pastor and his wife being full time in the ministry of pastoring a church is a sad and unspoken case of getting two for the price of one scenario. There is so much more to this scenario, that it becomes emotionally taxing, physically draining and spiritually susceptible.

I found that as important as it is for the Pastor's wife having the need to continously please her husband/pastor and the Church in everything, is not always the best thing to do.

This is the reason why its important to prioritise what you want and need to do and it will lead you to leave some things.

The Pastor's Wife: Doubt out!

The doubt you experience is from the enemy. Doubt is always fake!

There are so many reasons why we as the Pastor's Wife would doubt most things that we do. We continously doubt in who we are as a woman. Doubt is subtle and a crafty foe that patiently waits with every hurtful remark you hear.  It is amazing how we know and hate that doubt is a challenge, but we still allow it to manipulate our mind and our lifestyle.

The scripture says it clearly in  Romans 7:15 "I really dont understand myself,  for I want to do what is right, but I don't do it. Instead I do what I hate".

We must realise that the effects of doubt, affects the people around us.  The saddest part of this realisation is that there are some people in our life that notices our doubt and the action that follows and they rejoice in our failures.

Whatever our reason might be for our doubt in our mind, it is so deep that we wonder if we ever going to get out of the "hell hole".

If our battles don't challenge us, we will never taste victory and never experience a doubt free,  righteous living.

In Jeremiah 32:27 "I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples in the world. Is anything too hard for me?" As a result of who God is in our lives, we receive and have understanding in who we are as a woman.

This will empower us to respond with a right mind and everything else will follow.  Our response will be different. Our circumstances will be right. Our atmosphere will be better and our hearts will healthier.

So be encouraged and doubt it out!

Stay blessed!

The Pastor's Wife: The Invisible Wife

What? It cannot be that the Pastor's wife feels that way, would some people say. She is always in church, sitting alone in the front row seat, which is most of the time.  As usual, the Pastor gets all the attention.

Feeling invisible is part of the price of being in the  ministry. It does not define who you are, but it certainly describes whose you are.  But how you respond to it matters much. You cannot allow what you are exposed to, to make you feel less that what God says about you.
Psalm 139:17-18 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they out number the grains of sand! And when I wake up you are still with me! NLT
These two verses describe two things about God :
How almighty God is and that God just doesn't love us, He's obsessed with us.
Be encouraged that you are not invisible, you are not alone in the front row seat. The Holy Spirit surrounds you and comforts you and that means that God sees you and that is more than enough!

The Pastor's Wife: Assumptions!

The purpose of The Pastor's Wife blog is to encourage and be of service in word to every Pastor's wife.  It is to give understanding that being married to a Pastor is not a job as some may view it to be,  but it is most certainly a calling 📢 from God!🤔

It is hopefully a guide to every woman preparing or intending to marry 💍 a Pastor.

My name is Lynne Wareley and I am a Pastor's wife for 22 years. My husband's name is Bradley Wareley. We are the Pastoral couple at The Full Gospel Church, Cape Town, South Africa.
We have known each other for 27 years, and we saw each other everyday (hint..hint..and that wasn't easy).

As you  👀 through a 🔎, the closer you get, the more clear and bigger the picture, but not to close though, otherwise the picture will be distorted.

It is often said or assumed that a Pastor's wife is aloof. But, that is far from the truth.  The perception of who you think she is, is from an uninformed basis. Just ask the Pastor's wife, she won't fake it! If you still think she fakes, go figure it out and I hope you make it, so that you can relate.

The Pastor's Wife:  I am sharing these 2 letters from Pastors Wives. A Letter from - FRUSTRATIONS FROM A PASTOR'S WIFE I hate...
